About Wedome

As the biggest French bread bakery in China featuring on-site baking, Wedome takes Beijing and Shanghai- the two largest cities of China, as core markets and possess more than 330 bakeries across the country.

Wedome started its first store in Fuchengmen Street-one of the most ancient streets in Beijing in 1996.With the decorative mode of transparent show window firstly adopted in the city; customers could see the whole process in manufacturing products. As a result, numerous people visited our store and purchased products, which led to a booming business. Currently, Wedome has boasted 300 stores in Beijing and over one hundred thousand customers will be welcomed per day averagely.

Over the past two decades, Wedome always selects and uses the worldwide quality raw materials for its products manufacturing and the present day can see its suppliers from numerous countries and regions such as France, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, America, the Philippines, South Africa and Canada.

About originator

The president Huang Li was born in China’s northwest city of Baotou, Inner Magnolia in 1969. Being raised in a family far from affluence, he desires for desserts and is determined to own his dessert shop when growing up.

After graduation from senior high school, he became a platelayer. Then, he quitted one year later and took up baking in a time-honored hotel in China’s coastal province of Guangdong.

Six years later, he came to Beijing and founded Wedome expressing his operation philosophy-to make the most delicious products for sure. So, the past two decades have witnessed his endeavor in manufacturing better and healthier products only with quality raw materials.

In Nov., 2013, Mr. Huang had a meeting with Ms. Lou Lan, an official from the commercial counselor’s office of the French embassy at Beijing, which facilitated the 2014 and 2015 French Bread Festivals supported by the department and sponsored by Wedome. Thanks to the great contribution made by Mr. Huang in promoting French bread, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of France awarded the “French Gourmet Spirit Grand prize” in 2014.

In addition, various personal honors have been obtained by Mr. Huang such as the “Top Ten Characters in China’s Baking Industry” prize in 2007 and the “1981-2011 Entrepreneur Prize with Outstanding Contributions in the Foodstuff Industry of China” in 2011, to name but just a few.
